I shot Heather's bridal portraits back in March, but it felt like it was yesterday as I drove to her wedding at Briscoe Manor in Richmond, near Houston. I had been very much looking forward to seeing Heather and her family again, and I had fun shooting the wedding. It was a classy event, to be sure. My favorite shot of the night came right at the end during the bride and groom's exit (see the very last photo below). Exit photos are notoriously difficult to capture - they're often outdoors at night, they happen quickly and there's lots of movement. Heather and Ryan, bless 'em, made their exit right outside the remarkably well-lit door to the reception hall as their friends and family waved them off with glow sticks. It's the joy in Heather and Ryan's faces that makes this photo for me.
