Ashleigh & Blanton's Wedding

May 18, 2014

The amount of planning and hard work that went into Ashleigh and Blanton's wedding at Cinnamon Shore in Port Aransas must have been staggering. It was an incredibly beautiful event. The wedding and reception were wonderful, with my favorite moment captured being an emotional Ashleigh during the father-daughter dance. This was also one of the few weddings I've been to where the dance floor was packed all night, mainly thanks to Austin's wildly entertaining 80s covers band The Spazmatics.

Anna & Brent's Engagement Shoot

May 09, 2014

Anna and Brent were an absolute joy to work with throughout this shoot, which started off at the Texas Capitol Building before relocating to Zilker Park, where the couple's dogs joined them as they posed on a very cool red vintage-looking couch. Seriously, Anna and Brent were just lovely. I can't wait to shoot their wedding next year!

Young Texans Against Cancer Powderpuff Football

May 05, 2014

These are some shots from the 2nd annual Young Texans Against Cancer Powderpuff Football game at the Texas School for the Deaf. It was a fantastic game, with reigning champions The Cherry Bombs once again defeating their rivals, The Blue Belles, who put up a great fight. It's all for a very worthy cause, and you can find out how to go about donating your time and/or money by visiting their website, here.

Micky and The Motorcars Photo Shoot

April 30, 2014

Alt-country band Micky and The Motorcars have a huge following here in Texas, and I was really happy to be asked to take some promo shots for their upcoming album Hearts From Above. The band are such nice guys, and the whole shoot at Zilker Clubhouse was incredibly easy-going. We got a bunch of great shots, but this is my personal favorite.

Heather's Bridal Portraits

April 01, 2014

With less than an hour to go before this shoot at the Wells Branch Homestead, a sudden downpour threatened to derail everything. I've got to hand it to Heather, though, because I don't think many brides would have been as calm and collected as she was when faced with the prospect of having to reschedule the shoot, especially as she had already spent considerable time getting her hair and makeup done.

Luck was on our side, however. The downpour was over quickly and the sun was out again in no time at all. The grass remained a bit damp, but all we needed was a strategically placed tarp on the ground and we were good to go!
